I just recently got a promotion at my job.
Here's the story: I work at a place called Walden (www.yourwalden.com) which is a country club/resort. We have an Inn, Spa, Barn Dining, and the Clubhouse (which is where I work). The Ex. Chef at the Inn took a position with another company and they promoted our Pastry Chef at the club to take over his place. They in turn offered me the Baker/Pastry Chef position!

This means, better hours, better pay, more responsibility, more seniority, and a much more profession group of people to work with. I'm still not used to waking up at 5am every morning just so I can make it to work by 7. Eventually I'll fall into it, and mornings wont be so bad anymore. Either way, it's worth it. I'm very excited and so far am loving every minute of it.

It's a big change from working on the line during dinner service, grilling, sweating, doing all that fun cooking shit. The stress of my old job was terrible. Cakes and Pies I can handle much better hahah!

I'll be posting more pictures of my creations as I go along
So far I've been doing a lot of Pies and Quiche's - maybe soon i'll do something really spiffy hehe!
